The CollaGlow 30-Day Skin Reset: What to Expect Week by Week
Apr 15 2026
Why 30 Days?
Your skin renews itself on a ~28-day cycle — new cells formed in the deepest layer take approximately 4 weeks to reach the surface and shed. This means any change in your skincare routine won't be fully visible until at least one complete renewal cycle has passed. Expecting results after 3 days is not realistic. Giving up after 2 weeks is giving up just before results appear.
Week 1: The Adjustment Period
When you start the SEOUL 1988 routine, your skin is adjusting to new ingredients and a new barrier environment. You may notice:
- ✅ Skin feels immediately more comfortable after cleansing
- ✅ Less tightness, more moisture retention
- ⚠️ Possible initial purging if you've added Retinal (small, fast-moving breakouts are normal in Week 1–2)
Week 2: Stabilization
- ✅ Redness and reactivity begin to decrease noticeably
- ✅ Skin holds moisture longer throughout the day
- ✅ The barrier starts repairing — fewer reactions to environmental triggers
Week 3: Visible Transformation Begins
- ✅ Skin texture becomes visibly smoother
- ✅ Natural luminosity starts appearing — the early glass skin effect
- ✅ Pores appear smaller as hydration plumps skin
- ✅ Dark spots begin to fade (if using Niacinamide or Retinal)
Week 4: The New Baseline
- ✅ Skin looks and feels fundamentally different from Day 1
- ✅ Barrier is measurably stronger — fewer reactions overall
- ✅ The glow is consistent, not just "good skin days"
- ✅ Makeup sits better, skin looks healthy without it
